The vehicle and challan information provided in this app is sourced from publicly available data on the official Parivahan website (https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in). We act as an intermediary platform to make this information easily accessible to users in a simplified format.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Shree Infotech ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, Challan Seva (the "App").

The App is operated by Shree Infotech. It is published on the Google Play Store under the developer name "Shree Infotech" and on the Apple App Store under the individual developer name "Arjun Jiyani."

2. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization. We only collect what is necessary to provide our services.

2.1 Information You Provide

The only personal information you directly provide is the Vehicle Registration Number ("Vehicle Number") you wish to search for.

2.2 Locally Stored Data (On Your Device)

To make your experience convenient, your search history of Vehicle Numbers is stored securely and locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to our servers. You have complete control to delete individual entries or clear your entire history at any time from the App's settings.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

To ensure our App runs smoothly, we use industry-standard tools like Google Firebase to automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information:

  • Crash Data (Firebase Crashlytics): Diagnostic info about app crashes (device type, OS version) to help us fix bugs. This is not linked to your personal identity.
  • Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics): Anonymous data on which features are popular and how users navigate the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information solely for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Core Services: To fetch challan details and insurance expiry status for the Vehicle Number you provide from publicly available government sources.
  • To Enhance Experience: To display your search history for quick access (stored locally).
  • To Send Reminders: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications for pending challans or insurance expiry. You can disable these in settings.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services (WebView)

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. However, our App provides convenience links that redirect you to trusted affiliate partners within a WebView (in-app browser).

4.1 Affiliate Partners

  • For Challan Payments: When you tap "Pay Challan," you are redirected to the Cars24 portal.
  • For Insurance Renewals: When you tap "Renew Insurance," you are redirected to partners like Acko or Policy Bazaar.
IMPORTANT: We DO NOT process any payments or collect any financial information directly. Any data you provide on these third-party portals (such as credit/debit card information) is collected and processed directly by them. Your interaction is governed by their privacy policies.

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and Delete Data: You can view and delete your search history within the App. Since this data is stored locally, deleting it removes it permanently.
  • Opt-Out of Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your mobile device's settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
