All vehicle information displayed in this app is sourced from publicly available data on the Parivahan website (https://parivahan.gov.in). We act strictly as an intermediary platform to make this information easily accessible to users.

This Privacy Policy describes how VahanGo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, retains, and protects personal information obtained during the operation of our website and mobile application. We adhere to high privacy standards and comply with relevant national laws and Google Play Developer Policies.

  • Vehicle Data: Vehicle Registration Number (RC), Chassis Number (last 5 digits for verification), and Insurance details.
  • Payment Data: When you purchase insurance or pay a challan, you are redirected to third-party partner websites (e.g., Cars24, PolicyBazaar) or government portals. These transactions happen entirely on the partner's platform. We do not collect, store, or process any payment information (credit cards, UPI, net banking) for these transactions.

2.2 Non-Personal & Device Data

To improve app stability and user experience, we automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers (Advertising ID), and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and crash logs (via services like Firebase Crashlytics).

2.3 App Permissions

The app may request the following permissions on your device:

  • Camera/Storage: To upload documents (like RC or Insurance copies) to the "My Garage" section or for support queries.
  • Notification: To send alerts regarding challan updates, insurance expiry, and service offers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To fetch and display RTO vehicle details, challan status, and fuel prices.
  • Transaction Processing: To facilitate the payment of traffic challans and the purchase/renewal of insurance policies.
  • Customer Support: To resolve technical issues and respond to your inquiries.
  • Communication: To send renewal reminders (Insurance/PUC) and promotional offers via SMS, Email, or WhatsApp (you may opt-out at any time).

4. Affiliate & Third-Party Disclosure

VahanGo.app participates in affiliate marketing programs. We may earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through links in our app.

4.1 Our Partners

We share specific data (like Vehicle Number and Model) with partners solely to generate quotes or facilitate services:

  • Insurance Partners: (e.g., Policybazaar, Acko, Digit) for vehicle insurance quotes.
  • Car Services: (e.g., Cars24, Vehicle Care) for selling used cars or booking services.
  • Challan Payments: Services are powered by Cars24. When you click "Pay Challan," you are directed to the Cars24 platform to complete the payment. VahanGo is not responsible for the payment settlement or refund processing.
  • Advertising: We use Google AdMob and Facebook Audience Network to display ads. These networks may use cookies and device identifiers to personalize ads.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures (SSL encryption, secure servers) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Account Deletion (User Rights)

In compliance with Google Play Data Safety policies, users have the right to request the deletion of their account and associated data.

To request data deletion:

  1. Open the App > Go to Settings > Click "Delete Account".
  2. Or, email us directly at support@vahango.app with the subject "Delete My Data".

Upon receiving the request, we will permanently delete your profile and personal data from our servers within 7 days, retaining only transaction logs required by law.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
